Work Undertaken

1. Leading the group of national and international consultants for implementing the construction and supervision work in an efficient and effective way.

2. Construction supervision of large infrastructure project such as Padma Multipurpose Bridge Project (3.5 Billion USD) and Padma Rail Link Project (4.0 Billion USD).

3. Design review of Steel and Concrete Bridges, Station Buildings, Service Areas, test pile, working pile, method statement, inspection test plan, quality assurance and quality control of mega projects.

4. Design principle and acceptance criteria of soft soil improvement using CMP, SCP, PVD, Removal and Replacement including monitoring and analysis of settlement.

5. Supervise and monitor the sub soil investigation of Padma Bridge and Padma Rail Link project.

6. Design review and implementation of river training works of major rivers of Madhumati, Arial Khan, Dhaleswari and Buriganga River.

7. Construction of both railway and highway embankment maintaining the different specifications and standards as needed.

8. As a Dean, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Head, Department of Civil Engineering of Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), I had the scope to run both Undergraduate and Post- Graduate courses, its planning, conducting workshops, seminar, teaching students, organising internship program at different levels.

9. As a Director, Centre for Advisory and Testing Services (CATS) of MIST, lead the team of concern specialist to evaluate the various structures of the country, design new structures, supervise construction and conducted research on various civil engineering aspects.

10. During Military Service tenure, commanded different Units/Regiments successfully for Civil Engineering and Combat Engineering purposes both at plain land and Chittagong Hill Tracts.

(1) Guide and advice all consultants to complete the project smoothly following technical specifications and contract agreement.

(2) Solve all technical and contractual management issues in consultation with Head Quarters of CSC, Bangladesh Railway (BR), CREC and other stakeholders as needed.

(3) Study and analysis the progress of the project as per work program and suggest accordingly.

(4) Resolve all claims and counter claims following contract agreement.

(5) Assist Employer’s Representative in preparation of Project Completion Report (PCR) and handing /taking over of different sections of the project.

(6) Coordinate with CREC to rectify the works during Defect Notification Period (DNP) as mentioned in the Snag List.

(7) Advice Employer as regards to Value Engineering and Negative Variations.

Contract management and administration of a 3.8 Billion USD project under G to G between Bangladesh and China. It is a single line Broad Gauge rail from Dhaka to Jashore connecting Khulna. State of the Art technology of Ballast less Track (BLT) has been introduced for the first time in Bangladesh. It also has an elevated rail line (viaduct) of approximately 31.0km. Provision of facilities for the physically handicapped people has been kept in this project. It widens the horizon as I worked with international experts from different countries and shared our experience with each other.

Jan, 2022 to Nov 2023 Deputy Chief Coordinator (DCCO), Padma Bridge Rail Link Project

(1) The Deputy Chief Coordinator will support and assist the Chief Coordinator in all matters concerning project implementation, project management and construction supervision of all contracts.

(2) In particular the DCCO has been given special responsibility for liaison with BBA, the contractors and other project stakeholders in relation to land acquisitions, resettlement issues, and relocation of services.

(3) The DCCO is responsible to supervise and monitor the activities of Project Managers and all coordinators. He is also responsible for the administration of the CSC Cell.
